Default 1999 s-10 2.2l rough idle with following codes

Hi all,
Son just bought his first truck. 1999 s-10 Extreme with a 2.2l and 200K miles. Started it up, smooth as silk. Drove home 3 hours with no issues at all. Parked in yard for an hour then drove about 1 mile before it lost power and ran rough. Drove it home, left it an hour, started up no problem. Drove 3 miles, same problem. Did it again a few more times... Bought a code reader and got the following...
P0300 -multiple engine misfire
P0113 - IAT sensor circuit high intput
P0122 - TP sensor circuit low input

Any ideas?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum. P0113 and P0122 sound like a wiring problem. They should be wired as follows.

IAT:

Terminal A TAN wire, IAT Sens Sig, to PCM connector C2, terminal 20
Terminal B GRY wire, IAT Sens +5V, from PCM connector C2, terminal 28

TPS:

Terminal A GRY wire, TP Sens +5V, from PCM connector C2, terminal 33
Terminal B BLK wire, ground, from PCM connector C1, terminal 57
Terminal C DK BLU wire, TP Sens Sig, to PCM connector C1, terminal 21

Thanks for your help. Went in and checked the wiring. Sure enough, two wires were shorting out near the intake manifold. Fixed and purrs like a kitten!

You're quite welcome. Maybe the previous owner knew about the problem but didn't bother tracking it down? Thanks for the update.
