2000 blazer metal transmission line leak
My wife's blazer AND my 96 Z71 AND my 94 S10 all leak transmission fluid from the line where it attaches to the radiator. The line is all metal, no rubber hose (some threads I searched previous to posting this one dealt with the newer lines with crimped on rubber hose ends). Is it possible to put some sort of rubber o-ring type gasket in between the line and the radiator, or should I cut the line and crimp on a rubber hose fitting (not sure if that will even be possible or if it will fix the problem since other people have had leaks from their rubber hoses and this might even be an issue with the radiator side of the fitting) or should I just keep putting transmission fluid in all of them and just live with it. Any suggestions?

you will have to determine if the leak is from the steel line or rad fitting.
if its leaking fluid at a rate that it is leaving puddles in your driveway, replace the bad part

How do I tell if it's leaking from the flare or if it's leaking from the radiator? If it's the flare can I have it re-flared? I called a mechanic shop and the guy acted like I'm an idiot (I won't argue with that, but he still wasn't very helpful, guess I won't be doing business with that guy).

Pull the line out of the radiator. The end of the tubing will be flared with the nut . The radiator fitting will also be flared (if they are indeed a flared fitting). Inspect the flare face for nicks, scratches. The flare is the sealing point, no amount of sealer, pipe dope ect. can stop it from leaking if the flare is leaking.
