2000 S-10 Smog pump problems
Hey,
I have a s-10 pickup with the 4.3 and 5 speed manual trans. I have been having a problem with the smog pump for years now and I'm tired of dealing with it. The truck will start to run like garbage and when I shut the truck off the smog pump continues to run until the battery is dead or I take out the fuse. I generally take out the fuse and wait until the engine light comes on to put it back in (PO410). Rise and Repeat this process 2-3 times and the smog pump will behave for another year or so, then it starts acting up again. I have no clue what this problem could be and want to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
