I recently bought a 2000 Chevy s10 extreme has 2.2l flex fuel and has bad performance issue there's little acceleration until it hits 3500 rpm give or take I have a check engine light for cam position sensor circuit low but I do not have a cam sensor anywhere on my block???? Not sure if previous owners did ecu swap or maybe motor swap? Please help

No I have looked all around there is no spot on the passenger side of block so I am assuming I am dealing with a motor swap then. Were is the engine vin? I looked last night cant find it says its rear of block just behind oil stick opening? thank you for replying and your time
