Default 98 s10 shift ****?

how do you take it off i tried to twist it but it diddent work thers no screws that i could find in it. i dont know

It might be that you have to take the selector guide out of the top of the **** and loosen the nut behind it.

do you have a floor shifter or is it on the steering wheel column anyways if you have a floor shifter. i figured it out today.to take the shift **** off your blazer or s-10look behind the shift **** facing your stereo you will see this small little slit there if you stick a flathead screw driver in there and pull out theres a small clip looks like a fat staple but its a pin thats holding the shifter on once you pull it out the shifter will come off with no effort i did this on my 2001 chevy blazer xtreme i dont think it makes a difference on the model i think its the wayGM did it on all there vehicles hope this helps.post to let me know.
