Default 88 S10 2.5 hard to crank after it sits awhile

I have a hard time cranking my s10 after it sits usually 3 to 4 hours it is a pain to crank. Usually turns over for 20-30 seconds sometimes longer before it fires up, and when I am out driving it has some spit and sputters higher up in the rpm range. I have changed the fuel filter. Wires, plugs, distributor cap all look like they have been replaced in the last 6 months so anyone have any ideas?

Is it a mechanical fuel pump? Should add, is there any emission control crap on it?

I had the same problem.Check the injector while someone cranks it for you.You should be able to see down through the throttle body if you're not getting fuel when it first starts to turn over change the fuel pump regulator. It' located on the drivers side fender.

been awile since Ive been on here but still fighting this issue with little results. I have change wires, plugs, cap, rotor, fuel filter, fuel pump, idle air control valve, map sensor, capped egr off, fuel pressure regulator diaphram, distributor, ecu, and retimed it with timing about 7 degrees I know it should be 8 but couldnt get it just right, but still shouldnt be low enough to cause a starting issue. It wont hardly start even when I spray ether in it. I have a throttle body rebuild kit and considering buying an injector even though it seems to spray fine. Im not sure what else to do. I was working on this problem here or there since I had another vehicle but now that I sold it this s10 is my only transportation so I am trying to get it fixed. Any ideas?
