Best spark plugs & wires
I am going to change the spark plugs & wires on my '03 S10. It used to be my wife's truck and she doesn't remember if/when they were last changed. It has 145K miles.
Which brand or models are the best or recommended? Bosch, NGK, AC Delco?
Also, looking to install a K&N air intake. Anyone have experience, feedback, comments or recommendations to use K&N or other brands?
Thanks in advance!!!

Stick with AC Delco spark plugs. Get the same ones that were used when the truck was new. I changed mine at 100,000 miles and the old ones looked almost as good as the new ones. Get a good brand of 8mm silicone wires.

Hi there I am new to the forum. I have joined this community to learn more about my Silverado truck because I have been experiencing a lot of issues lately. I have been using my truck for about a year now. This is a 2007 model Vortec 4.8 V8 and I have been very happy since I purchased it. This is a daily for me and has not had any issues since I got it.
Lately, I feel I have been visiting the gas stations more often than my usual trips. It is not that I use it more often but it is just the same regular routine where I go to. I feel it reduced my gas mileage and there has been lack of acceleration, it seems what I feel after a very exhausting day. It runs quite rough unlike before.
Could it be a spark plug issue? What normally works for you and would not hurt my pocket too much. Any advise much appreciated.
