Poor Gas Mileage
Recently bought '01 S10 ZR2 ext. Cab 4x4. I put roughly 15 gallons in this thing every fill up and I am barely getting 200 miles on a full tank. that translates to about 13.5 - 14 miles per gallon. HORRIBLE!
There is an aftermarket intake installed. I believe cold air intake. The wheels are an inch wider than stock and offset in front. Also there is a flow master exhaust from the mufflers back installed.
I know a tune up (spark plugs, wires, distributor, proper air in tires, etc) will help fuel economy, but it wouldn't help THAT much. Anyone have any ideas on where to look for the culprit?

check your TPS and MAP Sensor, and replace if needed.
Vortec Cyclones inserted in to the Air Intake tube before the MAF Sensor, really do not add much if anything to fuel effiency. If memory serviced me right they where proven to be a basic hoax. Since, for the vortec to be viable, it had to make it to the cyclinder, but since the MAF screen distrubes it, it never worked the way it was promsied.
Some more infomation is needed also..
Is the engine rought at idle
IDLE RPM at Start (COLD) (Just over 1100 is normal)
IDLE RPM after 4 minutes (WARMED UP) (Just over 800 RPM) is normal
RPM's at Highway (Speed 65 MPH @ 1500 to 2000 RPM) is normal
Last oil change and type of oil used. 5W30(manufacture recommended) or 10W30
Sythentic, or Standard or High Mileage I.E. Castrol 10W30 High Mileage
Check Spark Plugs for carbon fauling
Have you replaced the Plugs recently with anything other then AC DELCO
Last time you changed the transmission fluid
Answer these question, it will help us help you.
