Default Failed Emission Test.

Hi guys.

I recently failed my emission test. Here were the results.

@ 40km/h

Limit Reading

HC (ppm) 90 45
CO % 0.5 0.22
NO (ppm) 0979 1832

Curb Idle

HC (ppm): 200 21
CO %: 1 0.00
NO (ppm):

As listed above everything else passed fine except i got obliterated on the NOx portion.

I am suspecting i may have an exhaust leak at the right manifold.
Any other ideas i could check to hopefully pass this next time.

Here is a brief look at my truck:
1989 Chev s-10 Blazer (2door)
4.3L V6.
Km on engine unknown (from a junk yard but in excellent condition).
Driving for over 2 years now.

Thanks.

Mikey

u may also want 2 checkout your O2 sensor and the wiring harness (for the sensor), if it's a heated O2 sensor (3 wires instead of a single wire), i've found that faulty wires will only affect fuel mileage and power of your truck even more (not totally sure why though). a crapped out O2 will wreck your cat, never mind hurting your fuel mileage, and possibly fowling up other systems of your truck.
