I recently acquired a 2003 S10. I have the Brake Warning Light coming on, but then later it will be off. And then back on. I have no problems with the brakes that I can tell. Every thing works fine.

Now just before I bought this one, I was borrowing my sons 2002 S10 and his has the same problem. He has had it for several years and said it has been doing that from the time he bought it. Same thing, nothing appears to be wrong with it.

So is this common with an S10? Is it one of those things that, well it's an S10 so, yeah.

Also, both trucks, the ABS light stays on all the time.

Any ideas where I should look first?

In case you need to know, it is a 2.2 with a standard tranny
