Need help with #2 fuse
I am new to this site, and although it appears that there are a lot of lookers and very few "helpers", I will try anyways with a positive attitude.
I have a '96 S10 2.2L. Recently, the #2 fuse (Courtesy) blew, and when trying to place a new one in, it blew right away. Anyone have any ideas where to look, or how?
Thank you in advance.

You say it says courtesy. Check all the courtesy lights for shorts. I would start at the bulbs. Take them all out and look for corrosion, loose wires etc. Check the sockets and wiring as best as you can. Usually these problems are at the sockets and in the doors. You have a dead short somewhere.

Also check the wires that pass through the body to the door(s), that repeated moving of the wire will take its toll....
You might also try replacing the fuse with the doors open to see if it still blows, if not close and open the doors 1 at a time to see if fuse blows...
don't forget to consider the hood and rear hatch or gate as a possible culprit too..
Check the visors vanity mirrors if you have them...
Make sure nothing is jammed into the cigarette lighter socket...
