1997-1998 S10 Engine Compatibility
The engine i my 1998 S-10 Blazer 4x4 is completely thrashed. I have found a replacement that is affordable and runs, but it's a 1997. Will I be able to just swap them out without having to worry about the electronics or anything not mating up properly? Any held would be great. I'm kind of in a pickle with this one.
Respectfully,
Mr. Scott

Which one? There are 2 (3 actually including the transmission controller)? There's the Power Control Unit and the Engine Management Unit, as I understand it. Also, those don't come with the donor motor.

Just to throw this information out there in case someone finds this in a search....
Anything 96-02 should work. I know my 2000 model engine is exactly the same as the 96-99 with some minor differences that does not affect compatibility.
