Hey all,

I drive a
1996 Chevrolet Blazer S10 4x4
V6 - 4.3L vin W 262ci - MFI GAS OHV

I keep looking for a Left Side Steering Knuckle... but all I seem to find is a steering knuckle for a 2WD vehicle... never a 4x4.

I don't exactly know if there is a distinct difference in the two between the knuckles..

the last owner before me decided it was a cool idea not to put bolts in the caliper so when I was replacing the sway arm bushings and shocks I discovered this little problem...

the steering knuckle is stripped where the brake caliper bolt is supposed to hold it on -.-

thus my reasoning for coming to the forums for the first time.

I have more questions, but this one is my main and most urgent question as of now.

Drill and heli -coil it. Much cheaper than knuckle. Much faster too. You can get the correct heli-coil at your local parts store.
