Cool Ignition Black Wire?

Hey Rabbit,

I also have a black wire coming from the ignition switch for my 82 S10 column. Any idea what this is for? I am putting the column in a 49 Chevy Pickup and am doing the wiring myself.

Thanks...

Yes black usually indicates a ground wire.

Lightbulb The Revenge (joke)

Old Farmer Johnson was dying. The family was standing around his bed. With a low voice he said to his wife: "When I'm dead I want you to marry farmer Jones."Wife: "No, I can't marry anyone after you."Johnson: "But I want you to."Wife: "But why?"Johnson: "Jones once cheated me in a horse deal!"No money no way in real life,no gold no way in game!

Default '89 S-10 Blazer under-dash wiring photo?

Hello,

I like the post but have not been able to find what I need.

I am in need of a color photo of the wiring harness that includes the various interior lights, ashtray light, glove compartment light and radio wiring for an '89 S-10 Blazer. I've searched online including Autozone's slte and I have not been able to find what I'm looking for.

I disassembled my dash and failed to label which wires go where. It's been long enough that I cannot remember, and to complicate matters the aftermarket stereo does not utilize some of the wiring and plugs that still exist behind the radio.

I think what remains to be put back in their proper places are 2 or 3 courtesy lights, the ashtray light and the glove box light.

If this type of photo is available from a particular manual or book that can be found in a library, etc. I sure would appreciate being aimed in the right direction.

Thanks,
DBG

Smile wiring colors

If you go to any GM dealers repair shop, they should have a repair manual and they should be willing to give you a photo copy of a page or two.
If you ask and they won't do it, go to another GM dealers shop.
This usually works for me.
