Hello; Car has 145,000 miles. Changed plugs 2 weeks ago, then changed
rotor and distributor cap 2 days ago...and it has not started since!
Plug wires are correct(checked 3 times), Spark is healthy, Tank is half full,
engine cranks over briskly, but no gas comes up.Voltage is on Fuel pump relay(Which is good-checked) but relay does not operate. Seems not to be getting coil voltage from the ECM. Pump fuse (20amp) is good.
OBD unit puts out only 12 code (continuously) but no other codes.
Could problem be with the ECM? How do you check this unit?
OH! Have also changed oil pressure switch. Car is stuck in garage. Any suggestions will be appreciated and welcomed... Car ran beautifully till
the distributor cap change....Then died.
Hope this is correct forum for this.
Thanks in advance....bocabill

Is it possible distributor was loose and you moved it check to see if it moved. what jind of plugs did you get? You should get Acdelco everything maybe you bought a junk plug if it worked till you changed all that chancesare thats your problem!
Thank you Suzuki-guy for that suggestion. Yes I did install AC Delco plugs, and Distributor did not move. As I said Spark is good, but fuel pump
is not running and no gas is reaching the injectors. It will start using a few sprays of Starting Fluid, but no gas comes from the pump so it wont rum.
Again Thanks for the suggestion. All other suggestions are welcome.
Fuel pump...in the gas tank....had the same thing happen to mine a couple of years ago....had my son sit on the fender, with the hood open using a squirt bottle with gas in it to keep the old bugger running so I could get it home!! Dropped the tank and replaced the pump. It's not terribly expensive...like the newer ones. No problems since! hope this helps!!
KIDS....DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!! LOL!! ;>)
