on rear axle should i remove the cover or just suck out used gear oil thru the fill hole and refill with fresh fluid? i know front axle is easy going drain refill...i have 62,000 on the truck.

just mt opinion, but i would remove the cover when changing the gear oil. That way you can do an inspection to make sure all is good(no loose parts floating around)if you were to pull out the fluid there is a chance all will not come out...after you change it out run a bead of sealant around the housing slap the cover on a fill....good luck
oh ok thanks for the feed back went to dealer today and picked up gasket for the axle..As well as Transfer case fluid so i can change that out to.thats just a drain and fill..drain plug fill plug love that
