Hi everyone
I have a Chevy suburban 1500 2000 with fuel problem.
My problem is that the fuel pump doesn’t work; I don’t know what the reason is. As far as I understand there could be at least 3 different reasons. The fuel pump relay work and there is no broken fuses so that is not the reason. Next reason could be lose wiring that I haven’t been able to look at yet. Last reason could be the PCM. That is also something I believe it could be because the engine was stopping a week ago. At that time a had code P0122 throttle position sensor signal, voltage too low. I bought a new TPS and replaced it. When I started the engine the first time after the replacement the engine was running very rough and it changes the revolutions up and down several times during a period of one to two minutes. Then suddenly the engine was running perfect and I drove the car for three days without any problem.
Then again the engine stopped and when I tried to start the engine was running very bad for 30 seconds or so. At that time the engine was not responding to any throttle.
I got a tip that the reason probably was the MAP sensor or vacuum leakage between the throttle body and intake manifold. I bought a new MAP sensor and replaced it. Unfortunately the engine didn’t start. To see if there was any fuel coming I took away the fuel pressure regulator and turned the key to start without cranking the engine and there was coming gasoline. I put back the regulator and tried to start the engine. The engine started and it was running perfectly for some 15 minutes and then the engine started to run rough and it changes the revolution up and down for a couple of time and finally it stopped. After that I couldn’t here the fuel pump anymore and I took away the fuel pressure regulator to see if there was coming any gasoline. There is not coming any gasoline anymore.
This is the reason to why I’m suspicious to the PCM that it could be a mal function there.
I am out of ideas what the problem can be, is it anyone on this forum who have any ideas what the problem is?
