I just bought some Kicker 6.5" speakers for the front and when I tried to put them in, they leave a gap. The gap is due to the bottom of the stock speaker mount extends and covers the gap.
The stock speaker is attached to the actual speaker mount, so I can't reuse the mount for the new speaker without cutting the stock speaker out.
When I put the new speaker in, it looks like this
Notice the gap below the bottom of the speaker where the green wire is visible.
Is there some material to fill in that gap? Foam and some type of glue? Best Buy offered to cut out the stock speaker of the frame and put in the Kicker speaker in the stock frame for $60, but if there is a cheaper alternative, I will do it.
Thanks
