My 2007 Uplander has a check engine light on and sometimes the check fuel cap light also illuminates. I have done a diagnostic and it is the evap system code. I have checked gas cap and nothing... Anyone know what might be causing this? Anyone know where the evap canister is? Thanks a bunch!! My warranty has expired on the vehicle. There is the powertrain warranty, but I called them and the evap system is not covered under that warranty.

Do you over fill your gas tank? if you are putting in that little extra after the pump stops its a good possibility you have flooded the evap canister with fuel and now it doesn't work anymore.
I can't speak of the location on an uplander but on the Tahoe's and trucks its up under the vehicle near the gas tank, shoe box size black box with tubes coming in and out of it...
And welcome to the forum!

I have the same issue with my 05 Uplander. I took it in and the dealer performed the smoke test, and no leaks were noticed. They cleared the error, but it came back about 1600 miles later. I have been trying to watch the fuel consumption, and the dash readout says the average is lower, but the gauge is reading different.
