Default Aftermarket Deck wiring

I have a 2007 chevy cobalt and had to buy a GM interface adapter to hook up an aftermarket deck to the stock radio harness.

All the wires seem to match up when I was soldering the aftermarket wires to the interface wires except there is an orange wire coming from the interface adapter labeled "Illumination". I noticed the aftermarket deck harness nor the stock harness has a wire for illumination. Does this orange wire need to be hooked up somewhere?

Thanks

IF the deck has the option for it, then you would hook it up to the deck. otherwise tape it off
