The other night my check gauges light had come on while driving home from work.I was almost out of gas but after stopping and filling the tank the light had gone out.The following day on the way to work the car seemed a little sluggish and didn't have quite the normal pick up.No warning lights came on.
When i left work the car would'nt start. It'll crank but not fire.I am getting spark. It seems as though maybe the fuel pump is dead.I can't tell if it's priming cause every time i turn the key to start i keep getting the chime ringing and can't hear if the pump is priming.I tried banging on the tank but it didn't help.
I also noticed that the shift indicator light doesn't always come on at the normal shift times.I did find a broken vacuum line at the tranny shifter linkage and cut the bad part off and restuck the line on.It was dark so i couldn't go over it too much.I just bought this car two weeks ago and don't know much about it yet.Maybe some of these issue are related somehow.Any help will be appreciated.
