Hi! I am new to this forum, and new to owning a Chevy. My father decided to get a new car, so he sold me his 2000 Malibu which my daughter will be driving for the next two years in high school and then college. I also own a 2000 Ford Taurus wagon,so I have a lot of experience fixing that car (way too much experience).
Last night the Malibu's check engine light came on and it showed a code P0410 code and also said "pending" on my Actron reader. I haven't checked yet to see what "pending" means.
Is this a common problem with a common component to be replaced? How much vacuum is applied to the check valve?
I started reading this forum this morning and it sounds like GM hired a bunch of Ex-Lucas Engineers to design the wiring on Chevys!Even the Haynes Workshop Manual says check the wiring. I hope that's not the cause!
