you stated that the Mustang was a modified GT with Cobra Parts, and Not an actual Cobra. If I misunderstood this from the first post, then it would be a good trade.

However, just throwing some Cobra parts onto a standard GT can cause all kinds of issue, related to the transmission shifting, and engine health.
I have seen plenty of folks do these after market so call budget Cobra's and they actually spend more money on trying to make it right as compared to the cost of the actual parts.

If this is a true Cobra with SVT tags and all. Then I would be a fool to tell you to stay away. But if it is a stock Mustang LX or GT, then run dont walk the otherway. I would run the VIN for the car to make sure. and check for matching number on the block the firewall and the tranny.

Also Dont trust if you see the that the rear bumper has the inset COBRA on it, and the front grill has the COBRA insignia, these can be purchased after market, and installed with basic hand tools.

Yes, I got burned on a trade of this type for a car once before.

here a link to help decode the VIN
