Question 2000 Impala Wiring problem? Please help

Okay, I'm a noob so if my problem is already listed I'm sorry. I searched but haven't been able to find it. Okay here's the deal last week my 2000 Impala wouldn't start. I thought nothing of it really, I called my buddy to come jump me and by the time he got there the car fired up on its own. I drove it away and two blocks from my house it died on me. I coasted the two blocks and yanked my battery off took it to the parts store where it tested it good. I returned home put the battery on my car and drove back to the parts store and had the alternator tested it tested good. I drove it home and started searching the net to try to find my problem and found tons of stuff about cars dying while driving due to the crank positioning sensor. so i tried driving it some more to see if i could get it to happen again and i couldn't. the next day i drove my car to work and it died on me again and wouldn't start the battery was dead. after work i jumped it started driving it home and i had to put my foot all the way to the floor and it would barely move and it made an awful whining sound it eventually got up to 30 mph but not any faster. since the battery was drained i knew there had to be a charging problem so i completely charged the battery and put a battery tester on the car when the car is off the battery has 12 volts but when i fire it up it goes down to 11 volts. so can anyone help me trouble shoot this? has this happened to anyone else? can a get a wiring diagram from the battery to the alternator? thanks in advance.
