Wow, this just keeps getting better and better...

I tried ordering this part from GM and they have it on a "restricted" list, only available if damaged from fire or theft.

Problem solved... I installed the new XM receiver (UBS), It took 10 minutes. Turned on the car and the XM Traffic ICON appeared with all the alerts! My Navigation installation is now complete. Amen and goodnight!

I have an 07 Denali, same build as you so I would like to add the XM Nav Traffic.

What is the part number and cost of the new XM module? Im guessing you just pop out the glove box and the module is exposed for removal?

Probably the only way to get the XM module, same as Bluetooth VCIM, is through an Auto Wrecker or Ebay.

Yes its behind the glove box... Here is the part#
15945676
RECEIVER
$119.12

You cannot buy a used one. Once connected it marries itself to the vehicles VIN# and it cannot be used in another vehicle. The part is on GMs restricted purchase list. I had to beg my parts department to sell it to me. Good luck and let me know if you need any other questions answered.

Thank you

Gee....nice of GM to put yet another part on their restricted list so those of us that spent $40,000+ on one of their trucks cant even do a simple upgrade.

Hey GM if your listening, you better look at what Ford is doing with SYNC or your going to loose even more customers. SYNC feature upgrades are free firmware flashes at the dealership.
