dont get anything under 05 and if you do make sure it doesnt have the 3.5L in it because they suck and they are crap trucks and chevy should feel ashamed

i have a 05 3.5L and soon as it crossed the waranty EVERYTHING in the world went wrong with that piece of junk

1. tail lights went out regular
2. my transmission
3. valve springs .. it started burning about 2 quarts of oil a day
4. after the dealership supposively fixed it the valve springs went bad in less than a hour and i had a rod knock piece of junk
5. replace the motor completely thanks to the dealership just to have in 1 week the valve springs to go out again and i traded it in before it got any worse

i highly recommend staying away from these horrible things.. i hope the 3.7L was better if not these trucks are no where near better than the s10

Wow,

I beg to differ with a few of these comments. I have a 2004 crew cab, that just turned over 200k..the truck was never in the garage for a repair.I put new rotors and a alternator on in that time. Of coarse new pads and shoe's. I do have a problem with the remote locks and power windows after the weather turned cold. The truck owes me nothing. It has the 3.5 engine!
