I was given a set of nice chrome rims to fit my G-20, however, the rear are nice and shiny but the front are BLACK, at first I thought it was paint but I realize its a mixture of dirt and I believe brake dust well packed, any one have a magic solution that would disolve this crap so I can polish what I hope is chrome under neath?

yes maguires makes a hot wax for rims it is amazing stuff little pricey though! Iuse that let it soak and wipe the crap off! Then i use a mothers power ball on it! They sell the stuff at walmart. I would try soaking it and scrubbing the suff off before the hot wax then get the rest of the crap off with that! Good luck
I will swear by a mothers power ball, and like previous posts, degrease the crap out of them, but be careful what degreaser you use, some have more acid than others and can get under the finish and cloud the rims, just check the warnings. Then just polish them up with a good chrome cleaner.
