Ok im looking for a cam for my 383 along with a converter that would go with it. My Engine specs are 10:1 compression, 6 in' H beam rods with -5 cc flat top pistons, Dart ALUMINUM CYLINDER HEADS INTAKE PORT VOLUME 225CC VALVE INT 2.08" EXH 1.600" CHAMBER 72CC HEADS HAVE COMPLETE CNC PORTS AND COMBUSTION CHAMBERS INTAKE FLOW 320CFM @ .700 •EXHAUST FLOW 234CFM @ .700, Edelbrock Performer RPM Air-Gap Intake Manifold, Super Sucker Street Sweeper Carp spacer, with a holly 700 Double Pumper, and true duel exhaust made with Hooker Super Comp Tuned Full length Headers with Super 44 Flow Masters. I'm going to rebuild my 700r4 so it can put all that power to use. It has to be Hydraulic Roller Tappet. I was thinking about getting Edelbrock Performer RPM Cam and Lifter Kit. It just i trust their in takes but Cams? I choose it because the RPM rang is just right 1,500 to 6000 rpm plus it matches my intake. All in All What do you who read this think of this set up?
from experience, the 65 impala rears won't hold up long with a lot of extra power. had 3 65s with a 396/375hp with a PG in them and the rears would not hold up..but loved the ride and stile of them.. owned 9 2 doors over the years. wish i had another.
