Default Rear tires wearing funny

I have an 05 uplander. The rear tires are wearing on the inside with high and low spots so I am getting serious noise. The axle is straight so I was told that the rear tires cant be aligned. Is this right? The tires appear to be tipping in on the top. I guess i am wondering what can be done to fix this. Or what the problem can be. I dont want to put new tires on until i can fix this. I'm not too familiar with your vehicle but if it has a strait axle than no you can't align it. Fortunately alignment isn't the reason for your tires are balding like they are, make sure your psi is right and get your shocks checked. Also, when was the last time you rotated your tires?

Its a FWD with an independant rear suspension. All 4 wheels can be aligned.

To be more specific, it has a trailing arm rear suspension which is semi-independent because it has a stabilizer bar.
I don't see why it can't be aligned.

I have seen cases before where the stabilizer bar was bent because a trucker decided to use it as a place to hook his chain on the car-carrier and if its bad enough, alignment won't help. Thats your worst-case scenario.

Default sorry

Sorry, It has a straight axle. It is front wheel drive. It does not have the independant rear suspension. The psi is good. The tires are goodyear integritys. The wear starting happening at about 8000 miles. Discount tire said my rear is out of alignment. How do you fix that. Will worn shocks cause that.

Not so. It most definately has a Semi-independant rear suspension. What you call the axle is most likely the stabilizer.

See these links, they all say that the FWD model has a Semi-Independant trailing arm rear suspension:
