odometer replacement

Have a 1994 Chevrolet 1500 and odometer quit. Do you replace the whole unit or the gear. If replaced what do you do about mileage differences?

You need to get a odometer disclosure it SHOULD come with the new or used one. ( If you get the used one from a reputable salvage yard.
