Any opinions on the part quality? My brother in law has a 94 Mustang 5.0L. I bought the summit brand shorty headers and I must say aside from the swap itself being kind of a pain, that the headers were great quality and fit/functioned great.
Also, any tips to successfully removing the bolts that screw into the head? And with the whole job itself?
My neighbor who is an old school hot rodder (he has a 72 Monte carlo with a 383 stroker) is going to help me install them, but it doesn't hurt to research too.
Thanks!!

You'll probably break at least a couple of the manifold bolts off. You'll most certainly want to spray them good with PB Blaster twice a day for about 3 days before you go to take them off. That will hopefully give it enough time to eat away and loosen the rust and you should be able to get them off fairly easy.
Is there any common place for them to break.. at the head or at the manifold?
My neighbor said that too. I've been hitting it with liquid wrench the past few days and next time I go up to wal mart i will get some PB to hit it with too.
Update. Soaked the manifolds/bolts in PB blaster for several days. Took a ratchet with a 14mm socket (I learned its a tad smaller than 9/16 for a tight fit), and lightly tapped on the handle with a hammer and all the bolts came out without a single problem! Now it is time to order the headers, and figure out how to get them to mate to the existing pipes.
Also, try to remember to build, have, buy,a heat shield around the starter. The headers heat will get to the starter at the most non-opportunity time and strand you.

That is GREAT to know and I have not thought of that. Is there a premade one you can recommend I buy? I'm not much the fabricator yet.
