Default MSD ignition on OBD1 TBI

Hey guys the question is this, can I install a MSD AL-6 ignition system with the distributor, coil and wiring harness adapter and take over control of the rev limiter? I know that the transmission will still follow the ECM shift points, but will I override the ECM rev limiter this way?
I want a hotter ignition system and I want to kick up the revs a bit without needing to have the prom burned.

Wish I could help but I'm lost when it comes to ignitions.

Thanks anyway, I guess I'll call MSD and ask.

Unless your engine is highly modified, your ignition system already produces more than it actually needs. About the rev limiter I have no idea.

It is a little modified and I may be doing some additional work to it over the winter, my current engine specs are in my album but I would like to raise the compression ratio and thought a hotter spark would be required.
