Those last few laps were sure interesting of that race.. The race was BORING though.. What's with NASCAR making the drivers be "less aggressive" and less "racy" on the track, the couldn't even bump draft each other without getting in trouble for crying out loud! As well as putting smaller restrictor plates in the track to make them run in smaller packs.
After the race, every driver was pissed, as well as the fans. The race was boring even for the driver's. That's why, and I knew it would happen, when they brought out the green-white checkered after the Ryan Newman incident, that the driver's didn't care about the rules... They drove aggressive and took out Mark Martin hard, and several others.

Continuation: (Long Video, About 9 Mins.) - This one has Ryan Newman's "strong" words to NASCAR's updates to the race.

The restrictor plate was counterproductive according to Nascar. They were actually running averages of 195-198mph instead of the usual 188-190.
I thought it was an awesome ending. I don't know why they consider it the biggest problem track in Nascar right now. Its the race all the fans want to see. Driver safety in Nascar is unparalleled right now. Carl Edward's wreck in the spring was way worse and he ran across the finish line on foot! Michael McDowell's wreck in qualifying at Texas last year was even worse with a head-on wall collision at 181mph and he walked away unhurt.
They need to face the facts. The drivers are safe, now they need to direct their focus on the pit crew's safety. They are MUCH more likely to be injured than the drivers nowadays.
Yeah, they were running quite faster, but it was still boring for them being almost a full green flag race. This is the track the driver's look forward to because it's a "mystery" track, meaning they, or anyone else doesn't know what will happen, and it makes it fun.
And yes, the Michael McDowell crash at Texas was a hard hit, almost unbelievable that he didn't get hurt. But they have so much safety in the cars, there's no way they need to make it any safer. Like you said, the pit crew's need more safety now, because they sometimes get run over by driver's. I also think that they need stronger fences. The Carl Edwards crash tore up the fence and injured close to 10-15 fans, one of which almost died.
The ending of this race was awesome, although the fact that Mark Martin was taken out did make me a little mad. I also didn't like the fact that Jimmie Johnson practically has the win for the Championship, since Jeff Gordon was taken out in the final wreck.
