Default 2003 Cavalier Performance Modifications

Greetings,

New to the forum. Checked the back threads for the last 6 months and didn't see anything on this so entered it as a new thread.

I may be getting a 2003 Cavalier back from a youngster and thought it might give me the opportunity to build something out for running around in the mountains (I'm in Colorado). The car currently has a 2.2.L L4 in it with an automatic transmission. Although I know they stopped putting in the 3.1 V6's in '92 (?), I was wondering if it's possible to put a V6 3.1L, 3.1 LG5 or the 3.4 LQ1 with a 5 speed manual in the 2003 (assuming I could find parts). Any help would be appreciated.
