I have a 2006 Impala LS with around 38k on it. Sometimes when turning the steering wheel I get a screeching noise from the engine area. Today I parked the car and tried to duplicate the noise with the hood up. I heard the screeching noise but could not exactly determine where it's comimg from. It does not always happen when I turn the steering. Only when it feels like it. Sometimes when parked a slight turn to the right on the steering wheel can cause the quick screeching noise. Dealer already replaced the power steering pump at around 20k.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
Thanks
Jr.

Fluid checks out ok. Now that I think about it, it does make that screeching sound that we all here from a bad belt. Mine is just giving me a heads up notice lol.
