Default Month of manuafacture in VIN#

Hi,
I have a 1987 year model Chev C30/35 crew cab. What part of the VIN # will give me the year & month of manufacture?

Thanks in advance,
Tony.

The month & year aren't listed in the VIN, only the model year. Your 10th digit should be an "H", which is 1987.
You SHOULD have a sticker somewhere like this.
This pic is from a 2017 Chevy, & the 10th VIN digit is also an "H" (1987, 2017...)
This sticker lists the month/year of manufacture (Aug, 2016) & the VIN lists the model year (H=2017)
