Default 07 Dash Lights and A/C lights

Hey all...got an 07 2500 classic and some of the lights behind the instrument panel and A/C controls doesn't light up. Are these soldered bulbs or twist in style? I wasn't sure and didnt want to tear it all apart if I couldn't do it.

Appreciate the help.

I have had the same issue with my 2005. It started with the lights behind the temperature (AC and heat) control then the buttons on the CD player and now the steering wheel buttons. I had the temperature switch and CD player changed twice under warranty and now since my warranty is out I just live with them being out. Unfortunately I don't know how to change them myself or I would.

Default 2006 Silverado - soldered

I have an 06 Silverado. Had the same issues. They are soldered! You can get the replacements at Radio Shack. Oddly, half of my lights that went out... have come back on. ??? Now I am having issues with the audible alarms not sounding off (seat belt, key in ignition, etc.).

Yeah thats what I've come to figure out is they are soldered...BOO chevy!

I'll probably take it out and play this weekend....I'm pretty good with soldering and I'm gonna see if I can find a work around for this backlighting issue....

Thanks guys.

Let me know if you get this fixed. I have been living with this issue for some time because I wasn't going to pay to get minor things fixed but I can solder if you could tell me how to take the dash a part and what lights go in there places.
