Default 09 Silverado fuel issue

I have a 2009 Silverado with the 5.3 engine, every time I refuel the truck when I go to start it to leave the gas station the truck struggles to start. Almost like its out of gas. I have started leaving the truck running while I refuel for it is not going to start. Anyone have any ideas what causing the issue.

the purge solenoid valve is probably not sealing. I bet the truck has a evap leak dtc set also.

disconnect the line to the purge valve and blow into the valve...no air should pass.

with the valve open...vapours from the tank flow into the intake manifold during a refueling event. this creates a flood condition.

It's a $20 part at the local auto parts store. My '08 Burb started doing the same thing recently, so I just replaced it. Easy to do, it's right behind the alternator under the plastic engine cover. Took me about 10 minutes.

Default Faulty fuel gauge

I have an 09 Silverado that I have had a long time fuel issue with that has recently gotten worse. It began by running out of gas before the low fuel light ever came on. It said there was stil 42 miles to empty. Recently the fuel gauge has become very inaccurate especially immediately after filling up. Sometimes even though it is almost full it will read empty. Any Ideas?

Probably the fuel level sender in the gas tank is bad.
