Looking for original specs on truck, Engine has been changed from a 305 to 350 with a holley 4 barrel carb. Wondering what feul mileage i should be getting.
Basically any tech stuff on my truck would be nice .
Thank you

My dads old 85 Silv 4x4 used to get 10-13. It had the 350 in it, but it also had a 4" lift and 33x 11.50s on it. I'd say you could expect 15 tops.

15mpg sounds about right to me although it really depends on how often you kick in the secondaries.

Exclamation 1986 Chevrolet Truck C10 1/2 ton P/U 2WD 5.0L 4BL OHV 8cy

Ok so I need some help and want to see if you all can help me. i am having two issues.

First thing first i am having an over heating issue. i have replaced the radiator, water pump, and thermostat. i have no idea why it is still over heating.

Second i can not get it to stay idling. i currently took the carb that was on it off because it was flooding. my father had a rebuilt carb from his 305 Pontiac trans am. the M/C solenoid is disconnected. it starts up ok but will not idle.

please help me thank you!

Overheating could be air in the system or a bad thermostat. I know you replaced it, but still. I'd suggest with proper coolent drive it around with the radiator cap loose, also with the resivoir at the cold level of coolent.
The carb is computer controlled, if it was flooding, reset the float or replace it. Use the one that was on it. When dealing with computer controlled stuff, at this vintage you have to replace all of them.
