We are trying to attempt to replace the fuel lines in a 1996 K3500 Silverado. We cant seem to find a parts diagram anywhere? Does anyone have experience with trying to do this? We already know that the original factory fuel lines have been discontinued, any suggestions on what brand to go with?

more than likely, you will not find the pre-formed lines unless you get them out of a wrecking yard. as for a diagram, there's three lines. feed line, return line and vent line. all three run down the drivers side frame rail, tucked up inside the channel of the frame. the feed and return line run up the backside of motor into the intake. the vent line to the charcoal can,

Thank you so much. We know where the line is leaking at. Do you think we are better off just cutting out the bad part of the line and piecing in a new section? The lines are very rusty. We are the originl owners of this truck, but it has not been started in nearly 4 years. The engine does turn over (atleast we know it isn't seized up) and obviously we will be giving it a tune-up, replacing brake lines, etc.

(I pull a 35 foot horse trailer and my "newer" 2004 Silverado, quite frankly, does not do a good job. We need to put this dually back on the road to save my 2004 from working to hard. I am a serious horse show girl (World Champion!) so getting this truck back on the road is really important

if all the lines are pretty well rusted, then yes, replace all of it. you should be able to buy bulk rolls of steel and fittings to get it done. then you won't have to worry about the rest of the lines rusting thru.

Hi guys.I'm new to this site but these lines are still available. I am buying a set for my 1996 K3500 tomorrow. I have bought them recently for my 1997 k1500/z71 also. My brother just replaced the lines on his 1995 Tahoe

The fuel lines are not discontinued, I just ordered mine from dorman through advance auto and you can still get them from the dealership.

Or save hundreds of dollars and install plastic fuel lines. They are by far the best choice. Unless the vehicle needs brakes lines also in which case a premade brake and fuel line kit would be quick.
