1999 silverado brake trouble please help
Hi, I have a 1999 chevy silverado 4x4 1500 automatic trans 5.3l engine. anyways i am having an issue with the brakes. abs light is on and sometimes when applying the brake the pedal does not move like its locked if i pump it a few times it starts to work again then it comes back sometimes it will start to brake then the pedal will push back and not stop. i have recently replaced the brake line from about mid truck back to the axle and bled them all got all the air out. all the sensors appear to be hooked up but im kind of lost someone must have had a similiar issue. thanks for reading my wall of text and someone help me please

Did you also mess with the pads?
If you jam the piston back in order to fit the new pad onto the caliper
It can mess with the ABS
But it sounds like maybe something is wrong with your brake booster line.
Or are you sure you bled the calipers correctly?

Ya I'm certain i bled them correctly i did replace the right side cv axle so i pressed the pistons back in but it was doing this before i messed with the brakes. I forgot to mention that prior to me getting this truck the whole rearend was replaced. after the rearend was replaced the brake line above the gas tank started to leak so they pinched the lines off all this happened about a week ago and i just got the truck a few days ago and i just replaced the rear line from mid truck back to the rearend today. ABS light went off for about 5 minutes then came back on after i was finished

Welcome to the forum. The symptom "pedal does not move like its locked" sounds like a problem with the brake pressure modulator valve. The trouble code(s) that turned on the brake warning indicator should shed some light.
