Default 2000 Silverado 4.3 woes...... need help

Hello all,

I'm reposting this here in hopes of getting more hits.

The story begins last year when the truck just died. It ended up that the ignition coil wire shorted out. New wires/plugs and it seemed to run so-so with occasional missing. It has gotten bad now. I have new wires, plugs, cap and rotor and fuel filter. It seems to only be bad when it's cold or wet. On nice warm or dry days, it runs pretty good and after running for a while during the day and the engine compartment warms up, it runs well too. Any ideas where to go next.
Thanks,
John

one common problem with those expecially on wet days is moisture getting into the cap and rotor and causing corrosion. If this is the
case after you replaced the cap and rotor remove the vents in the distributor. Also insulate the a/c low side hose above the distributor to prevent water from dropping on it. If this checks out ok check into your fuel pressure regulator expecially if it misses bad.
