h have 127,000 mikes on it, and under load it shifts funny, sometime it does it empty also....not a slipping but more of a hard shift?...tow/haul mode it does it as well as regular mode.....should i change my tranny fluid/filter? no check engine light is on, and it only does it sometimes....had the truck just under a year ...fluid looks clean and dosent smell burnt, any advice?

That's what it is supposed to do. The heavier the load, the "harsher" it will feel. This is totally normal.

Allan is correct.
It wouldn't hurt to drain the fluid, drop the pan and change the filter.
Are you the original owner? If not or more than 50k miles since you last changed the transmission fluid / filter......then i'd do it.

DUH!!!! I just re read your post......lol do you know the last time (mileage or time frame) the trans fluid / filter was changed? If not then change it so you know for sure.
