Default 2005 Chevy Silverado daytime running lights

The daytime running lights on my 2005 Chevy Silverado came on while engine was off. I jumped it off and ran it to charge the battery but the lights did not go off. A month ago I changed out the headlight switch, which solved the problem for a month but to no avail. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I do not mean to come off as the neighborhood smart-a$$, but you could simply remove the bulbs. You really don't need the DRLs.

Default DRLs

Thanks JK23112 for that advice. I''ll do just that and cover the receptacle where the bulbs were removed. GREAT!

If you remove the bulbs, the 'carrier' in which you insert the bulbs should still be there -- so you probably need not worry about water getting in there. Nobody will know they are missing unless they get up VERY CLOSE and look through the lenses.

I had one of mine burn out recently and am considering removing them myself.
