Default Tire reccomendation?

time for new tires on my truck (o5 Z71), after a week of drifting and 4x4 donuts in the snow and crappy roads i managed to trash the tread on all 4 and theres steel belts showing on the rears, and the tread is chunking apart.
I plan on either sticking with the stock size 265/70-17 or buying 16" rims with a little more offset and a hair wider tire just for the better look. No plans for a lift in the near future.
Thing is i HATE the squishy sidewall of the bridgestones it has on it now, im tempted to go to an E rated tire just for that reason.
I dont offroad much at all, and not really concerned about mud traction, snow i can handle all 4 bald and dont care.
Just want a tire with a firm sidewall, 1 to improve steering response, and 2 to reduce sway while towing my race car, and id like to find something that is gonna last a while with my heavy foot and... "agressive" driving style. Offroad style tires just dont work for me, i think i shoulda bought an SS lol.
Toss me some ideas. im debating SS wheels and tire size if i can find them fairly priced also.

Personally, I would recommend the BFG's TriGuard (3-ply sidewall) tires. I have them on my '02 Tahoe and they have been really good to me. They are wearing very well (they still have a lot of tread left even after about 25k of usage). Of course, I rotate them every 6k. They are warranted for 50k, but I see them easily lasting to 60k for me. They have given me good traction both on and off road (in mud and loose sand). I chose these for their stiffer sidewalls and added protection. I have towed a decent sized boat and the tires didn't feel sluggish at all
