Default 2007 Silverado Classic Radio Options

I have a 2007 1500 Silverado Classic WT and it has the stock am/fm stereo in it. This stereo does not have a mp3 jack and I really want one so I can listen to my podcasts. I'd like to just switch the stock unit with another factory unit that has an mp3 jack but from what I gather nothing fits the classic except the crappy am/fm unit. Is there a factory unit with an mp3 jack that will fit in the classic? Thanks.

Not that I've heard. Most likely need to do an aftermarket one. Unless you have a tape player and can put one of those tape deals with a cord comin off of it to plug into your mp3 player

Default mp3 radio option

My cousin took a 83 caddy coupe to a stereo installation shop and they installed a jack (wire hanging down below dash) into the existing radio. about $75.00. call around

My 2007 GMC has an auxilury input jack! It's the new body style though. So you might check on that radio model. It should fit.

What if I just wanted to use a headphone jack? How would I go about adding that to my factory stereo?

Call a local stereo install shop and ask if they can put a headphone jack into an older radio. That's what the shop in concord calif. did for my cousin.
