Default 2008 chevy silverado Brakes/rotors

I have a 2008 chevy silverado and i had to replace the front and back brakes at 23000 miles along with turning the rotors. 2000 miles later myfront brakes are still squeeking and the GM dealership wants me to pay to replace the brakes.( have to pay because i was on a road trip and got my brakes done at Brake check and GM said that they are not GM brakes) By the way this is my 5th time in the dealership for my brakes or rotors squeeking. Any recomendations?

Thanks-
Brad

Do you do alot of towing or hard brakeing? It would seem under normal conditions the pads should last alot longer. I have a 03 2500 and have not touched the brakes since I bought it(6 years), Mine is a HD model tho.

Well when the brake job was done, were the rotors resurfaced? Did you get the low budget pads or premium pads? Have you tried cleaning off the brake dust every week or so with a hose?

Just trying to narrow it down.
