Jus installed the hypertech max energy programmer today! Seemed like it woke the 6.0 up a little. I have searched and searched for any info on the net about programmers for the g motor and have found nothing! My trip to work is only 8 miles with heavy traffic so I couldn't really test her out. I bought the programmer for more hp and tq for towing my tt and maybe get some more mpg out off the 6.0. I will update with more info.

Placebo effect. Take it to a track and run it with, an without the programmer back to back. Shouldn't see much of a difference. I've ran to many of these handheld programmers and have had buddies run em. We all switched to custom tunin and haven't looked back.

I couldn't agree more! You will get more bang for your buck with a custom tune. I just went with a handheld programmer because Its a 45k dollar truck that only has 7k miles on it. Jus wanted to be able to swap back to factory settings in case warranty work was needed.

I'm pretty sure they can tell if it has been altered recently or not with their computers they use.
