'82 Chevy Scottsdale K20 w/ 6.2L 4x4
My uncle gave me his long owned '82 scottsdale.
For the most part he took good care of it.
He had motor rebuilt a little over a year ago.
It has plenty of things to fix.
I haven't really looked into any of these issues. I just know they don't work.
-HVAC blower motor isn't working
-Parking brake doesn't hold ( I'm pretty sure the cable is shot)
-Speedo, Fuel, and others seem not to be working
Now things I would like to replace
-dash, its pretty sun beat
-bench seat
I also have some cluster covers missing.
My reasoning for taking on this truck.
My son is into monster trucks. I want to give it a little and I mean little lift with some big tires and wheels. Nothing to fancy. I haven't really researched to much. But it seems it will take some time finding information on this truck. If you have any guidance please speak up.
If you happen to have any of this stuff for sale, please don't hesitate to pm me or post up.
If I placed this in the wrong section im sorry.
James

the 82 scottsdale has a solid axle front end? if so you can look into either getting longer/taller leaf springs all the way around, all ya gotta do is put new shackles on it. Or you might just get away with adding some leaf spring blocks and putting spring helpers.
Kinda like this one: Rough Country Suspension Rear Axle Lift Block Kit - JCWhitney
and these help a little bit too: Rancho Suspension Rancho Helper Spring - JCWhitney
But if you got torsion bars on the front, then you gotta hunt down a new set of torsion keys that are made for what ever inch lift you want. Changing torsion keys is fairly easy to do, but you really should watch a video or have someone who has done it before do it for you, if you haven't done the procedure before.
