97 GMC Sierra front drive shaft?
I have a 97 GMC Sierra 4x4 5 speed, I was wanting to know if the front drive shaft from the transfer case is always supposed to turn while in 2 wheel drive, I was having issues with it locking in to 4x4 but i replaced the 4x4 actuator and it now locks in to 4x4, but i was wanting to make sure the front drive shaft from the transfer case is always supposed to turn even in 2wd cause i jacked up drive side wheel and the passenger side front wheel and the while spinning it was spinning the front drive shaft, cause i know on the hold school 4x4's when you unlock it out of 4x4 back in 2wd the shaft doesnt turn, anyways if anyone could help me with this i sure would appreciate it, thanks

Yes it is definitely is supposed to spin, while in 2wd they free spin. Only reason I know this is because if either one of my buddies drive by ( both with atleast 6" lifts) you can see the front drive shaft spinning in 2wd.
